Oftentimes though, new agriculture teachers have to take a struggling program and build it into something that the students, administration and community value. LEXINGTON, Ky. (August 2, 2016) Samantha Sims, an agricultural education major at University of Idaho, has been selected for the Upper Division Agricultural Education Scholarship from the National Association of Agricultural Educators. Sim’s hometown is Chelan, Wash. The $1,500 scholarship is awarded to upper level agricultural education majors to help offset expenses during their student teaching experience.
