Meet our Graduate Students By: Tanner White This past fall, our department has been blessed with two outstanding, young women who have chosen to further their education at the University of Idaho. Hannah Mamer and Pamela Holman are both obtaining their Masters in Agriculture Education and are without a doubt a terrific addition to our department. Hannah Mamer Hannah Mamer earned her Bachelors degree in Agricultural Science from Eastern Oregon University, through Oregon State University’s Agricultural Science and Natural Resource program. Having grown up on a small family farm, she loves being involved in agriculture, whether it’s in a classroom or working outside with animals. In her time off from school she works on a cattle ranch, doing everything from irrigating, to building fence, and anything else that might need to be done. Her love of agriculture not only comes from her time growing up on a ranch, but also her time as a member of 4-H and FFA. It was through ...

Important Deadlines! As February, is fast approaching so are deadlines. Fall 2015 admission applications are to be submitted no later then February 15, 2015. Federal Student Aid (FASFA) applications are due on the 15th of February as well. Students who wish to be eligible for the Agricultural and Extension Education department scholarships must have all FASFA forms submitted by February 15, 2015. CFFA Kicks Off the New Year! By: Tanner White This past weekend the University of Idaho Collegiate FFA held its annual executive officer retreat. Over the course of two days our newly elected officers and standing committee chairs came together in an effort to ensure their teams success for the upcoming year. Not only did they formulate a new Program of Activities. They were also able to generate several ideas on how to better serve the chapter's members, but also the community of Moscow. The University of Idaho's Collegiate FFA works closely within our department and with our faculty to promote current Idaho FFA members and future Agricultural Educators. Through is collaboration our CFFA members are able to facilitate a wide variety of student workshops, and career development events on the state and national level. Good Luck to our Student Teachers! By: Tanner White After three and half years of hard work and dedication two of our very own will begin the final step in their college education. Jemma Morrow and Michelle Ball will begin their student teaching in the upcoming Spring semester. Jemma Morrow is headed to Fruitland, Idaho while Michelle Ball is headed to Parma, Idaho. Corrin Norquist, Megan O' Niell, Jay Sutton, Haylee Palmer Congratulations By: Tanner White On December 13th, 2014 we said good luck to four of our Agricultural Science, Communication and Leadership majors. These fine individuals are about to embark on a great journey as they begin their careers. Corrin Norquist has decided to return home, before she selects the dairy of her choice. Megan O'Niell is returning to her native state of California to work for a non-profit organization, before returning to school to complete her Master's Degree. Jay Sutton has accepted a job with Simplot in Wilder, Idaho and will begin working towards becoming a Crop Advisor. And Haylee Palmer just accepted and offer to work in Spokane, Washington for Northwest Farm Credit Services. Congratulations once again graduates. We wish you the very best of luck in life!
